"A vision's just a vision if it's only in your head. If no one gets to see it, it's as good as dead. It has to come to light!"
-- Stephen Sondheim, Sunday in the Park With George

Nice to meet you!

Hi there, and thanks for taking the time to learn more about me! My career history includes experience in the diverse fields of Acting and most recently, Software Development!

Outside of work you'll find me cooking something delicious for my family and friends, cheering for the Cubs, enjoying a play, or rewatching a classic film. If it involves being creative or having fun, count me in!

Software Developer

Coding is super creative, and I am thrilled that I've found another outlet for my artistic energy. My interest in programming came to fruition upon my admission to the Actualize coding bootcamp. I am proud to say I graduated from the program in March after building a fullstack web app called Dayly! Through Dayly, a user can create home light automation by way of a daily events scheduler. This app helps a user organize their schedule, while cutting costs on their electric bill. This application uses a Ruby on Rails backend, a Javascript oriented frontend and integrates with the Wink API and Yahoo Weather API.

Currently, I am looking to join a development team that values mentorship, innovation and is excited about being helpful to the world. I am passionate about approaching this craft as an art, rather than a science and I believe I can be of great value combining my new skills with my training as an Actor!

Actor

I recieved my BFA in Musical Theatre from Kent State Univeristy where I honed my performance skills and gained a strong ability to connect with people. For the past 10 years I've had the opportunity to perform live across the Chicagoland area, and managed to make my way onto the small screen as well!

Being an artist is about making something out of nothing, telling a story and making an impact on someone's life, even if only for a moment.
